Djinn

Djinn is one of the few boats to have competed in the Olympics twice. In 1948 she won the silver medal in Torbay, Great Britain, with Sr. Enrique Sieburger at the helm, and in 1952 she came 5th in Helsinki, Finland. On both occasions, she was sailing under the Argentinian flag.

In 2003 Djinn was sold to a new owner in Finland. She was shipped to Red Sky Yachts at the Kotka Wooden Boat Centre where she underwent restoration to replace around 70% of her original wooden material.

She came in 3rd place in the Classic Division of two European Championships: 2006 in Flensburg, Germany; and 2016 in Brunnen, Switzerland.

In 2019, competing with sail number FIN67, Djinn finished in 2nd place in the Classic Division of the World Championships in Hanko, Finland.

She has a double skinned hull with cedar inside and Honduras mahogany on the outside.
