Bear

Bear was originally built to compete in the 1989 World Cup and is a sister ship of Pelle Peterson’s yacht Kratos. A total of four boats were built from the same drawings. Bear was commissioned by Bengt Hellsten and raced in Scandinavia, the United States and the UK.

In 2014 she was sold to Andy Parker and was shipped to Seattle. She had a major refit on Bainbridge Island during 2015/16 ready to compete in the World Championships in Vancouver in 2017.

In 2018 she was then sold to a New York owner who keeps her in Sanxenxo, Spain, with the newly emerging Spanish fleet.
