Bribón

Launched in 2017, Bribón – later named Stella – was the first boat to be built in Spain for nearly 90 years and regularly sails with the Spanish fleet.

At the 2019 World Championships in Hanko, Finland, Stella (ESP16) finished 5th in the Open Division.

At the 2022 World Championships in Sanxenxo, Spain, she finished in 4th place.

At the 2023 World Championships in Cowes, UK, Stella (GBR 112) finished in 2nd place and also won The Lucie Trophy for the highest-placed boat whose crew included a woman.

She also finished in 5th place in the Open Division of two consecutive European Championships: 2021 in Sanxenxo, Spain; and 2022 in Cascais, Portugal.

Stella features in our Six Metre Story “The Six Metres in Spain” which was published to celebrate the 2022 World Championships. You can read the story here.
