Felma

The ‘Out-of-Door-Woman’ section of the ‘Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News’ on 04 April 1931 announced that Mrs A.L.Schnapper had commissioned a new Six Metre, Cresta, for racing in the Solent.

It was noted, however, that “Mrs Schnapper had previously raced Timmy in this class, but with rather disappointing results. The age of the boat undoubtedly has had a good deal to do with this lack of success for Timmy, or Felma as she was then named, was launched at Fairlie as far back as 1925, and in such a competitive class a boat of her age found herself at a serious disadvantage with her more modern rivals”.
