Designed by Peter Norlin and built by Jansson & Zarins in 1989, she finished 7th in the 1996 Europeans in Cannes and 2nd in the 1997 Worlds also in Cannes. In 2002, she came in 2nd in the European Championship in Rungsted, Denmark, but was then laid up in a shed.

Subsequently, in 2008/9 she was bought by Hugo Stenbeck who thoroughly refitted and upgraded her at Valencia. In 2009, he took her to the Worlds at Newport, RI, winning closely by beating Rob Gray in Scoundrel. In the next year, The next year, she won the European Championships in Brunnen, Switzerland, and at the 2011 World Cup in Helsinki, Finland, she finished in 3rd. Again, she came in 3rd in the 2012 European Championship in Nynashamn, then 4th in the 2013 World Championship in Flensburg, Germany. Finally, she came in 4th place in the 2016 European Championship in Brunnen, Switzerland.

Sophie II (SUI132) competed at the World Championships 2023, Open Division, in Cowes, UK.
