Lalage at Gosport, 1937

Photograph of a number of boats moored at Gosport, UK. Six Metre Lalage (dark hull) can be seen in the centre of the image.

The original caption reads: “Lalage” and “Mr Macomber’s ‘Crusader'” Gosport & Portsmouth, 1937.

Both Lalage and Crusader, a 223 ft (LOA) private yacht, were designed and built at Camper & Nicholsons in Gosport.

Photograph by Christopher Boardman. The image was included in an album containing photographs dating from 1936 and 1937. The images were taken at Burnham Week, Sept 1936; How Hill (Olympic oak), 1936; Gosport & Portsmouth, 1937; Gosport & Bembridge, 1937; Burnham, 1937; Coronation Regatta, Torbay, 1937; Coronation Regatta, Dartmouth, 1937.
