Photograph of Nada in the dock in Oslo, having just been lifted from the deck of the transport vessel Blenheim, seen behind. Two men are stepping the mast and a number of others figures can be seen next to her on the dockside. It is thought that this photograph shows Nada’s arrival in Norway for the 1933 Scandinavian Gold Cup.
The original caption reads: “Russell and Miles fixing Nada’s mast”
Photograph by Christopher Boardman. The image was included in an untitled album of pictures. The images from the album were taken at the Scandinavian Gold Cup in Hankö, Norway, and Burnham on Crouch, UK in 1933/34. Other images from the album can be found here.
