Photograph of two men planting an oak tree at the Boardman family home at How Hill, 1936. These young oak trees were awarded to all gold medal winners at the Berlin Olympics in 1936. Christopher Boardman was awarded his for winning gold in the Six Metre class.

Photograph by Christopher Boardman. The image was included in an album containing photographs dating from 1936 and 1937.
