America’s six-metre yachts which are to race in August for the British American cup off Cowes, have been taking part in preliminary races at Oyster Bay, Long Island. The cup race has been arranged by the Seawanhaka Corinthian Club, of Oyster Bay and the Royal Yacht Squadron. In the photograph, made during the most recent races, is shown the Grebe, designed by John Gardiner (sic) and owned by a syndicate. The Grebe has on most of the preliminary races.
