Llanoria
Llanoria is one of the most successful Classic Six Metres in history.
Not only has Llanoria competed in two Olympic Games for the USA, she is also the only Six Metre to have won gold twice – once in Torbay, UK, in 1948 helmed by Herman Whitton, and a second time in Helsinki, Finland, in 1952. This was the last Olympic Games in which the Six Metres competed.
Llanoria was on the American team for the British-American Cup four times, every other year between 1949 and 1955. She was the highest points scorer every year almost always finishing in the top three and winning over half of the races.
Llanoria has competed in multiple World Championships, notably coming 3rd in 2011 and 2013 and winning the Classic Division in 2015. She competed again at the 2023 World Championships, Classic Division, in Cowes, UK.
At European Championships she came 2nd in 2012 and 2018, and won the competition in 2016.
